*dies of sheer glee* I've been mainlining the EDAs like nobody's business so I'm so thrilled with this. I giggled all the way through, and by the last line I had a massive grin on my face (and might have been a bit sniffly but we'll just skate on past that).

And then the Doctor sat down on Fitz’s bed, and stared at him for a good long while, and then gave him a great big hug, and then there was a graceful and discreet blackout.

Awwww. So, so, OTP.

Thanks so much for all my wonderful prezzies!

Yaaaay! Just the reaction I was hoping for! (I'd been planning to write this nice, angsty fic, and instead all I could think about was Fitz's relationship with Casanova. Sigh.)

You're welcome! I'm really glad you've liked them, and I had lots of fun writing. :-D

The Casanova bit made me laugh far too much because no matter how hard I try to mentally cast Fitz as anyone other than David Tennant, that's who my brain insists on havnig him portrayed by...

Are you serious? OMG, that's brilliant. I'll have to think about that. (And see DT in Casanova. Sigh.)

hee! "In any case, these two clicked. Fitz was John Lennon to the Doctor’s Paul McCartney (or perhaps it was the other way round), the Doctor was Art Garfunkel to Fitz’s Paul Simon (okay, maybe definitely the other way round)." *perfect*

and i adore the last sentence. :)

Y'know? I also adore the last sentence. Because the original ending was total crap, and that line was a godsend when I thought of it.

Hee! Thanks for reading all these! :-D

I have decided that I wish to marry this story under the Civil Partnerships Act 2005. *loves on it*

*giggle* What sort of institutional-type person d'you get to officiate for a wedding between a person and a fic?

Glad you liked! :)

AWESOME. There is a very distressing lack of Eight/Fitz fic in the world, but you've just helped heal that wound a bit. A great bit. I laughed myself silly and 'awwwww'ed about a dozen times, and am now saving this for many re-reads in the future. Oh, and that last line somehow makes the whole story. Brilliant.

Wheee! I'm so glad you like! And I know what you mean about the lack of Fitz/Eight in the world. Have you checked back through the tags or memories of who_otp? doyle_sb4 had created a list of stories with a bunch of pairings that were not Nine/Rose or Ten/Rose, and I'm pretty sure she had at least a few Fitz/Eight links in that list. I can only think of a handful of people who've written fic, myself...

(Oh, and I'm particularly glad you like the last line, as that was one that came in a blinding flash of epiphany. I like lines like that.)

I have that list, yeah. Um, I'm actually on that list. *g* That list should be longer!

It should be! (I can say that, even though I haven't looked at it in months. Hmm. I should rectify that...)
