*dies of sheer glee* I've been mainlining the EDAs like nobody's business so I'm so thrilled with this. I giggled all the way through, and by the last line I had a massive grin on my face (and might have been a bit sniffly but we'll just skate on past that).
And then the Doctor sat down on Fitz’s bed, and stared at him for a good long while, and then gave him a great big hug, and then there was a graceful and discreet blackout.
Yaaaay! Just the reaction I was hoping for! (I'd been planning to write this nice, angsty fic, and instead all I could think about was Fitz's relationship with Casanova. Sigh.)
You're welcome! I'm really glad you've liked them, and I had lots of fun writing. :-D
The Casanova bit made me laugh far too much because no matter how hard I try to mentally cast Fitz as anyone other than David Tennant, that's who my brain insists on havnig him portrayed by...
hee! "In any case, these two clicked. Fitz was John Lennon to the Doctor’s Paul McCartney (or perhaps it was the other way round), the Doctor was Art Garfunkel to Fitz’s Paul Simon (okay, maybe definitely the other way round)." *perfect*
AWESOME. There is a very distressing lack of Eight/Fitz fic in the world, but you've just helped heal that wound a bit. A great bit. I laughed myself silly and 'awwwww'ed about a dozen times, and am now saving this for many re-reads in the future. Oh, and that last line somehow makes the whole story. Brilliant.
Wheee! I'm so glad you like! And I know what you mean about the lack of Fitz/Eight in the world. Have you checked back through the tags or memories of who_otp? doyle_sb4 had created a list of stories with a bunch of pairings that were not Nine/Rose or Ten/Rose, and I'm pretty sure she had at least a few Fitz/Eight links in that list. I can only think of a handful of people who've written fic, myself...
(Oh, and I'm particularly glad you like the last line, as that was one that came in a blinding flash of epiphany. I like lines like that.)

Awwww. So, so, OTP.
