1. How long is the contest?
Each round is a week long unless otherwise specified. Make sure you read the challenge post thoroughly so that you don't miss any fine details!
2. How many icons can I make?
Well, you can make one icon per subject, but there are five subjects a week, so technically, if you do all of them, you can make up to five! Also, keep an eye out for special and monthly challenges!
3. So, wait. There are three types of challenge, but five subjects?
Yes. For each of the first two challenges, there are two choices, a mod selected subject and then one you can choose yourself from the subject, along with some suggested caps if you don't feel like going searching. The third challenge is all your own selection, so you have an extra chance to stretch your creativity. Go wild!
4. Where do I vote?
Every friday/saturday, once the submissions post has closed, voting will open. Hopefully, depending on the volume of votes, the polls will close within two days and winners will be announced.
5. I made an icon, but I missed the deadline! It's only been a few hours, can you put my icon into the contest anyway?
Sorry, but we can't. Once the submission post closes that means that voting has started, and the moment voting opens we can't add more icons or it throws off the numbers. Sorry! We encourage you instead to get a jump on the next week's submission!
6. Do you have to participate in this first challenge to participate in future ones?
Nope! This isn't an LIMS, the challenge is different every week! So feel free to just watch until you see a subject that catches you or participate every week. And you don't have to do every single subject every week, either, don't forget! You could do a single icon, all five, or none at all!
