The authors see no reason why the Doctor can't have met Thomas More.
Seems reasonable to me. He did write science fiction, of sorts...
A kiss that was amazing even by his exceptionally high standards
For some reason the narrative perspective on Jack reminds me of Oswald Bastable trying to pretend he's not the narrator of The Treasure Seekers

The authors see no reason why ships carrying clockmen shouldn't all be named after famous mistresses
