I could use some advice. I am making props from all the Doctors (all 11). So far I am starting with the first seven, just so it's not too overwhelming. I am making hand props so they are easy to display, nothing huge or cumbersome. It has to be something I can make, not something I can by. I'm down to just the first Doctor and the fifth Doctor, but ( Read more... )

For the original Doctor how about his walking stick? A key of Marinus? or to see if anyone get's the joke some anti-radiation gloves?

This was an awesome idea. I started watching the "Keys Of Marinus" and I really like the space traveling bracelets... they seem like an early version of Captain Jacks gadget. I am still trying to get a good look at any of the keys. The one worn by the daughter of the monk appears to be a circuit board glued to an acrylic rod... I'm still trying to find a scene with a better view. Thank you for the ideas.

What about a lyre for the First Doctor, from his visit to Nero in Rome (when I - er - I mean HE gave Nero the idea of burning Rome by accidentally setting fire to Nero's map? It would be a larger prop, and it wouldn't necessarily have to actually work. Remember, only the finest of ears could hear the music played, and to all those whose ears were not so fine they would hear nothing. (So everyone heard nothing as the Doctor "played" the lyre for Nero. Yet, no one wanted to admit their ears weren't the finest, so they all gave rousing cheers when the Doctor finished.)

Dino.

I think one of the books I have (The Early Years) even has a diagram!! That's a great idea

One idea, though the prop wouldn't be as well known or as glamorous, would be the diary. :) Just a thought.

I should catch on the First Doctor as well. MUCH more have been released since I last saw him.

I guess if you run out of ideas, you could try making the forcefield generator from the Three Doctors. You could also include the 2 Doctors recorder. Something like that could start you down the path of making props from all the multiple Doctors episodes.
