Hello one and all.

After you all gave me such wonderful help last time, I thought it would be only prudent to ask you all for help again. :D

I have been in communication with Baron Boutiques customer service reps, who are very helpful, and have assured me that they plan on releasing a version of their Ten doctor jacket in suede for 499 dollars. They ( Read more... )

Is that actually SUEDE suede? As in leather, not upholstery material? I can't tell because the picture is blurry, but it sure does look like it.

I don't have a Baron coat and I've never seen one in person, and I'm not normally critical of "budget" Tennant coats, but the back of that coat looks godawful. The darts are completely wrong. If they're going to charge you $500 for that, just say no. Get the Abbyshot coat instead. I've tried one of those on and it's a great coat for the money, and cheaper than that one.

I'm not sure what sort of suede it is. I would get the abbeyshot coat, but that's wool, and I really do want the nice suede look.

Well, having held a swatch of the real material up to the Abbyshot coat I can tell you that the color of the material is way closer than that suede and that from a distance looks quite a bit like wool anyhow. If you don't like the feel of wool that's perfectly understandable, but the Baron coat definitely doesn't look worth the money. You'd get a better coat from one of the ebay vendors for a third the price, then you can pay a tailor a couple hundred dollars to take it apart, properly interface it, and reassemble it.

@ ninjarisu: That is pure genius! Simplicity at its best. I can't believe I didn't think of that obvious solution. I think I shall do that, thanks very much.

@the_10thdoctor: That cosplaysky one looks just like the Tssy coat, which people have said is none too sturdy. Is the cosplaysky one any better?
