Having been introduced to the series when I was but a tiny tot watching them in black and white on PBS, I guess I've always known about Doctor Who. Wasn't much of a fan until the new series came out, where all the hints about the history of the Doctor made me determined to see all the other episodes.
( And I found one of my favourite Doctors, Two. NOT QUITE DONE YET. )

At least in-store, Hancock Fabrics has a large cotton hounds-tooth print fabric. The downside is that it's printed, but it's cotton, so it would be good for hot cons.

For less sewing-inclined, larger fans, King Size Direct has some hounds-tooth pants that come in more "fannish" sizes.

FYI Troughton's original suspenders/braces were Albert Thurston's Boxcloths. They are are expensive but can still be purchased here ( ... )

Underground Toys is starting out a set of statues of the Doctor with this Two statue. I thought that you might want to include the picture that I'm linking to, for a nice 3-D look. It would be great to see Two cosplayers' thoughts about the statue.
