So I have tried to find another Amelia wig, Arda doesn't have the Le Tigra wig in stock and most of the other ones I have looked at have dead links or they don't make the wig anymore... Does anyone have any suggestions?
Linda wig in fire red is most popular. If you can't get that one really any ginger/copper wig will probably get the look across, just don't go too red/orange and try to stay with a more natural tone. Amy's hair can almost look brown in some lights. Also people say that lace front wigs look more natural, so maybe try and get one of those. Try ebay, you should be able to find something on there (the color of this one looks pretty good, it'd just require some styling/cutting).
I just dye my hair to Amy's color and it's fabulous. If you go the dye route, ION makes a great professional dye that you can pick up at Sally's. It comes in two different copper shades that I think are close to Amy's. I use light copper blonde because my hair takes color so well that I'm afraid any darker would make it too dark, but the medium copper blonde looks the closest when I see the sample pieces.
i always try to warn people away from wigs in color 130 for colors like Amy. It looks good on ebay, but then you get them and they never do in person or in most pictures. I got one for Saffron from firefly, and sometimes in the right light they are the perfect color.. but that's only like 10% of the time, and the rest of the time it's way too dark.
I think the Eowyn at Arda would work if you sweep the bangs to the side. It has a skin top so you can part it if you like. It's really straight but its heat resistant so you can curl it. The Ferrari is nice too if you want waves but it has no part. The Buttercup looks a lot like the Le Tigre but isn't quite as long if that's what you're looking for.
I just checked and the Eowyn and Buttercup are both in stock in those colors. You just need to select them from the drop down menu. Arda's site changed a bit recently.
