I'm trying to find this dress. I'm determined! I've found some great alts (PM me if you want links) but I'm trying to narrow down my search a bit. Asking the experts! What words should I search with? What fabric is this?

Interesting to hear that there are a few alts out there. I know I've seen a pretty good one at the US retailer David's Bridal...

I'll add to those who are saying it was custom made. Apparently, the costume department made this dress for Alex Kingston to wear for this episode.

I actually commissioned someone to make this dress for me, and she said she had to use two different patterns (I have no idea if this is helpful, so forgive me). The bow in the front is also an interesting detail and one that's easy to overlook.

Hey! I got in touch with Barbara Kidd (costume designer for DotM) - she said it is the dupioni. She used fabric they had lying around from the 1960s! However, she's going to look and see if she took note of a specific color guide and will let me know.

I'm going to see if she ever published / would be willing to provide me with the design drawings. I'll keep you all posted!!!
