Hello, long time lurker, first time poster. *waves*

After seeing all of the awesome costumes on this comm, I was inspired to take a stab at a costume myself, specifically Old!Amy's armour from "The Girl Who Waited". I don't have pictures of the full costume yet (hoping to get some this weekend at the big comic book convention where I live) but ( Read more... )

I think that looks fantastic! And definite bonus points for being able to see out of it :)

Thanks! I don't look a thing like Amy, so I wanted a costume that covered my face.

This looks fantastic! :D I made one and I can barely see a thing out of it... so kudos for the sight thing. Hehe :)

The visor was the last thing I made because for the longest time I couldn't figure out how to see out of it and have the hexagon pattern.

I'm curious now. How did you make your visor?

Similarly to how I made the shoulder armour. It was also the last thing I made and I haven't worn it with my armour yet! Don't have a fully complete shot but here are 3 stages of WIP and a WIP shot of it on but pushed to the back of my head:

That looks awesome. And you have polka dot fabric! I couldn't find any myself.

I got say visibility is key. I wore my costume this weekend and being able to see out of that visor was a godsend. I was even able to navigate in a dimly lit room.
