I haven't done much with it, but I did acquire a serger so construction options are much better now. I really need to make progress on this one. I'll share here once things get rolling.

Repeating this from the last post: Mine was custom but what I could probably do is have my tailor make a pattern from my jacket (like the McGann set) and try to incorporate corrections into it- or leave that up to whoever receives it to do so. Granted again it would only be in my size- any sizing up or down is on the receiver but it's a good starting point unless scarf factory would rather keep going down his route. It's a cost though which I would probably have to pass on to anyone interested along with the cost of running off said pattern. Probably around $30 per pattern at least.

Thats an excellent idea. And grading the pattern up, in my case, or down shouldnt be too hard. Thats what Steve Ricks dod with the Romana Destiny of the Daleks pink frock coat, which is a copy of the Baker grey frock coat. It gives us a definative base pattern we can work from, and as i own a set of the McGann patterns, you know im interested in these.

I am in the process of aquiring the JoAnn corduroy scarf factory mentioned a while back. With the graded plans I'll be able to make the jacket. My first real big sewing project.

Just re read the other thread, and pethaps having the alrefinmemts put into the pattern will give us what we all want, a version that is accurate as we can make it. Either way, as i have often said Bob, your coat is great and having a pattern to follow based on your own would be half the battle.
