Thank you for your hard work in putting all this together--the time and the research involved is impressive! And many thanks go out to the members here who helped with the IDs. :)

For anyone wanting to do a breakdown or update one that they have already done (and updating is certainly encouraged!), this has got to be the gold standard. :)

I was looking at the alternate boots that you suggested, and was struck by how similar they are to a pair of womens boots that I purchased from Target for about $30. They are out of stock online, but the link gives an idea of what to look for. They might still have them in some stores. They would be a really cheap alternate if anyone else can nab them before they disappear. It says that they aren't sold in stores, but that is where I and a friend got them.
