Don't forget Forever Day next weekend! Going to be buying the song... By the way- your costumes are brilliant! I've seen you from afar at conventions and I am in amazement at your work! Super stuff!

Aww thanks so much! And, I'm not an expert on this particular Rory costume by any means, but from my point of view that looks like it would work great as a bargain alt. I'm all for the bargain alts! :D

You're welcome! Looks like a deff buy! Might try to contact the seller to extend the period of selling as money is quite tight. Any future event plans?

The picture is sort of small, but it looks perfectly acceptable to me! As a 'budget' option, I'd say you should definitely consider them. :)

Think I'm going to buy it! Seems a reasonable enough price and look so I think I might as well go for it! Any advice on the other bits? As soon as more money comes my way then I'll buy/make an eyepatch and buy some shoulder pads. It's just the beret and vest I'm stuggling on...

That looks pretty good and I have the real suit in my possession to compare. As for sizing, don't adhere to the measurements or anything. I'm 6 ft as well and have a large which still has a bit of room even after all the gear is added.

It is only £9.99 (exc. postage) so I'm quite tempted to ask the buyer to extend the closing time as I'm short for cash atm. Any advice on the other bits (like the vest style thing?)

Matter of fact, most of the real Viper stuff can be found pretty cheap on eBay and such but that's comparing to the hefty amounts I'm used to paying for screen accurate items. Just browse the listings, see if it you find anything. Matter of fact I have an extra beret as the first one I got (a medium) was a bit too small that I'll toss you if you cover postage.

Sorry, did you not see the amazing posting where every item from this costume was found?

I know you said BUDGET, but I pulled together the full, screen-accurate costume for £170.

You just need to stalk eBay for the correct items at budget prices!

It looks like he did, as he is asking for the opinion of this suit vs the real, ID'd one. And also for cheap alts to the other ID's items.
Yeah... I'm also a budget cosplayer, I traditionally spend £40 or less TOTAL on any given costume. So that is on everything from shoes to jackets and everything in between. :) My one exception was my Amy-Armour, which cost me around £65 total. D: So yeah, if he is anything like me £170 for a (yes amazingly fully screen accurate) costume is not budget. At all. Lol. :)

Since you don't have PMs turned on in your own LJ, so I'm having to post here. :(

The ebay link must be removed, as it is against the comm's policy. Please read here:

Thank you! All sales-related posts are now at dwcosplay_sales; if you're not a member, please join over there, so you can post. :)

The sales policy was updated just last month, so some comm members who only read/post once in a while might not be aware of all the details; we the mods just didn't want to "spam" the comm here with many posts about the newish no-sale policy. Thanks again!
