"Black Orchid" Robe Fabric

After rewatching "Black Orchid" again, I was actually interested to make Five's robe as a little sewing project for a online friend of mine who's quite possibly a bigger Fifth Doctor/Peter Davison fan than I am! Silk or brocade? Actually check out the earlier post from this week where the person was looking for the Rani's outfit? One of the links was to some paisley silks that looked similar...

certainly a paisley, but if not silk, perhaps a polyester with the proper pattern? also, and it's a long-shot, check into some lining fabrics (to be built with an underlining, presumably...).

I agree. A trip to the fabric store might yield something similar, or heck, even a thrift store find maybe. Vintage clothing store actually might be a good stop too.

And am I the only one that thinks this is just a bit sexy, the fifth Doctor in a silk robe? Yes? No? ok, maybe just me lol.

Not at all! It's one of the main reasons why I love "Black Orchid" so much. He wanders around in it for practically half of the serial! <3 So yeah, robed!Five is a bit sexy. *3*

And also when he shouts: "WHY does my curiosity always get the better of me?" I crack up everytime that scene pops up.
