The Original Scarf was repeatedly stretched and shrunk over the course of the show. By the time that it was attached to the Duplicate Scarf for Season 16, it had acquired very pronounced ribbing. Consequently, blocking your scarf (that is, altering the shape that a finished piece of knitting falls into) in the same way is a large part of getting it

I don't go on Facebook much, but I did see the tutorial. Using stitch markers to hang the weights from is a good idea. I'll have to try it while blocking my next scarf.

I used sturdy metal knitting needles to block mine, threading them through each end evenly. worked a treat!
