From where do you get the backgrounds of your icons?

Text icons are so much fun to make though! Don't have to deal with all the pic problems.
Yeah, cause in the books they just pick apart the food but never eat it. Maybe they're just squirreling it and spit it out later.
The backgrounds are made with the Urban Designs and Retro Vectors on www.obsidiandawn.com. They have a great variety over there for Photoshop.

I always have the problem that I can't find the perfect font for my icons ._.
Because of the food: was there ever a description in one of the books what they do with the food? I just know that they don't eat it but actually it would be too demonstrative when they come with the food and go away with it.

Ah yes, or you find the perfect one, overuse it and then can't find one that compares.
I don't recall there being any mention of what they actually do with the food other than pick it apart/move it around. Maybe there was something in Midnight Sun.

My hair's naturally bright red. Not quite that red, but I"m trying to find a shade to match that one. Cos I heart it.
