When I first saw the DWP trailer when it came out, first thing came to my head was the resemblance with Miranda and Cruella! lol!

Wow, that is really close... I just had a quick lookie at imdb to see if any of the crew worked on both, and nope, not that I could see. (I looked at the director, cinematographer, art direction.) I wonder if this kind of sequence has been used elsewhere? I have a feeling it might be a kind of visual introduction trope for femme fatale baddies...

It's wicked though..i'm loving the way they introduce the femme fatale baddies!! When the first shot you see of a woman is her spiked heels stepping out of an expensive car you just know she's going to be bad but in a wonderfully good way lol.

I loved this movie - so glad to see a bit of it again. AND to see that DWP paid homage to it! :D

Yes! Carmen Dell'Orefice! I *knew* it. She's featured in the current "Model as Muse" exhibition in the Met, too :)
Thanks for the link. Great article.

Sounds like a fantastic exhibit - are you back from NY already? I'm trying like mad to find a weekend to visit some friends there in the fall.
