19:00PM EST.
Miranda's Townhouse, Upper East Side, NYC.
Andy had left Liv's house a few minutes before 7 and now she found herself nervously standing on the front steps of Miranda's Townhouse right at 7PM on the dot. She reached out to ring the door bell with a slightly shaky hand.
A couple of seconds passed before the door opened and Miranda was standing before her and Andy's breath hitched as she looked Miranda up and down. "Wow..." Andy said breathlessly as she looked back up into Miranda's gorgeous blue eyes. "You look beautiful...” Andy said and Miranda smiled as she moved away from the door and let Andrea in.
Andy walked inside and gave Miranda a small smile before Miranda reached out her hands for Andy's coat and bag which Andy happily handed to Miranda and she watched as the older woman wandered over to a closet where she dissapeared inside as she hung up her coat before reappearing again and carefully setting Andy's bag on a table.
Miranda glanced up at Andy again and smiled. "Shall we?" Miranda asked as she looked down the hall way towards the kitchen and Andy smiled as they began walking side by side into the kitchen where Cara had left their dinner all prepared. "What are we having? It smells delicious!" Andy said as she hopped up onto one of the bar stools as she watched Miranda walk over to and open the fridge and grabbed out a bottle of champagne.
"Would you like a glass of wine?" Miranda asked Andy who was perched on a barstool at the kitchen bench.
Andy smiled at her and nodded in response.
Miranda smiled back before turning to pick up the bottle of wine and pouring two glasses and they glinked there glasses together before taking a sip and smiling at one another.

After they had ate their dinner and enjoyed some peaceful small talk Miranda asked Andy into the sitting room which was located next to the kitchen where they engaged into a deeper conversation as Miranda asked Andy to tell her more about herself. "How long have you been teaching Journalism?" Miranda asked Andy.
Andy took another sip of her drink and swallowed it before she placed her wine glass on the coffee table before she glanced back up at Miranda. "I got the job at Dalton not even a year ago and it's been a great experience. The kids are brillant and I have a great time with them. But I do also some freelance work for other publications here and there and The Mirror has recently hired me to cover some stories for them which is great. I like to write as much as I can." Andy said and Miranda nodded her head for her to continue as she just loved listening to the younger woman to talk. "I'm not sure if teaching is something I want to continue, though. I see myself doing more freelance, if anything." Andy added.
"Ah yes. I have actually read a couple of your articles for The New York Mirror. Very impressive, Andrea. You have a real talent there so I can see why they hired you but -as I said- you have talent and you can do better then The Mirror." Miranda replied.
Andy blushed at the compliment. "Thank you. That means alot, Miranda." Andy replied with a small smile lingering on her face.
Miranda smiled right back.
"How about you. How long have you been at Runway for?" Andy asked Miranda.
Miranda looked at her for a long moment before she replied. "Oh. I've been there for many years now. But enough about me." Miranda said and asked her more questions. "You're not American, obviously, so when did you move from Australia?" Miranda asked.
"Oh!" Andy said and beamed at the fact she was able to speak about her home country. "I moved here from from Australia full time after I turned 22 once I left the SAS and I've loved living here ever since but as I always say, Australia will always be my country. I go back there as often as I can. Have you visited?" Andy asked Miranda.
Miranda nodded her head. "Yes. A few times. Very beautiful place." Miranda replied smiling at how Andy was beaming with happiness. "You were in the Army?" Miranda asked curiously as she was interested.
"Yes, I was." Andy replied.
"And what was it that you did?" Miranda asked curiously.
"I was a Soldier and fought in Afghanistan in 2003." Andy replied.
"Mmm. A dangerous country. Very brave." Miranda replied.
After a few more minutes chatting about the SAS Andy changed the subject and a hour later Andy glanced at the clock on the mantel and saw it was nearly 10.00. "It's getting late..." Andy said as she glanced back at Miranda who nodded her head in agreement but really wished that Andy wouldn't leave.
"I had a wonderful time Miranda. Thank you for inviting me into your home." Andy said as she stood from the couch.
Thank you for coming." Miranda replied with a smile and rose from her seat also.
For a moment Andy didn't know what to do but she finally worked up the courage and moved closer to Miranda and kissed the older woman passionately.
This action -at first- surprised Miranda but she fell into the kiss and kissed back.
Andy pulled away. "I better go." she said as she stepped away and Miranda nodded and followed the younger woman down the hallway where she got her coat for her and they said their goodbyes. Afterward, Miranda watched Andy walk down the side walk and down the street away from her house.

A YEAR LATER.
December 8th, 2007.
20:00PM EST.
Miranda's Townhouse, NYC.
So it had been a year since Andy had gotten together with Miranda Priestly.
A couple of months after they had begun dating Miranda went to Paris for the Fashion Week there and she found out of her divorce from her husband, Stephen;
the fool at been seeing another woman.
Miranda nearly had Runway taken away from her by Runway France’s Editor in Chief, Jacqueline. But Miranda managed to save her job at Runway as she gave Jacqueline another alternative.
Andy had become friends with Miranda's first assistant Emily Charlton and Em's girlfriend Serena; who worked in the Beauty Department of Runway. Also Miranda's dear friend Nigel Kipling.
And now Andy found herself sitting in Miranda's townhouse with Miranda by her side and her twin girls sitting on the couch in front of them as they told the girls about their relationship.
"But you can't be with her. She's our friend! Not yours!" Caroline yelled at Miranda as she stood up and stormed out of the room leaving Cassidy to look shocked at the two women before she shrugged and hurried off after her sister.
Miranda let out a sigh as she stood up and was going to go up the stairs after her girls but was stopped by Andrea's warm hand on her shoulder. She turned around to see her lover standing besides her, smiling warmly at her.
"Let them calm down and then we'll talk to them." Andy said quietly and Miranda nodded without saying anything in reply. Andy looked down at her watch and her eyes widened. "Geez. time goes fast doesn't it?" Andy laughed as she looked up to Miranda.
"Would you like a lift home?" Miranda asked Andy who nodded in reply.
After Miranda told Cara too look after her girls Miranda announced to Andy that they were going to take her Porsche instead of her Driver. And this surprised Andy to no ends but she was quite curious to see what Miranda was like behind the wheel. She couldn't quite hide her smirk and Miranda saw it but didn't comment on it and silently walked out the front door with Andy trailing behind her.
When they reached the garage Miranda opened it by the click on the remote on her key chain and the garage doors slid open and she glided over to the driver's side and got in as Andy got into the passenger's side. "Wow..." Andy said breathlessly as she looked around in the car as she had never been in it before. "This is gorgeous." Andy said as she looked up and smiled at Miranda.
Miranda put the keys in the ignition and pulled out of the drive way and began driving down the street.
It was a cold winter night out and the roads were wet and slippery but Miranda still drove the car with ease.
The car ride from Miranda's Townhouse had been pretty quiet so Andy decided that she'd begin to talk even though she knew Miranda disliked her small talk.
"I seriously thought the girls would be cool with it." Andy said to Miranda who was driving Andy back to her apartment in her porsche like a pro.
"So did I." Miranda replied.
"Hopefully if we give them time, they'll come around." Andy replied back.
Andy waited for Miranda's reply but instead there was only silence.
After a few more silent moments Andy turned and glanced at Miranda who was concentrating on the road and seemed to be trying to avoid her. "You're not having second thoughts about us are you?" Andy asked.
Miranda glanced at Andy before replying. "No, offcourse not. Why on earth would you think that?"
"Okay...well, what's wrong then, coz you haven’t said a word since we left?" Andy asked Miranda confused.
"I'm just starting to think that just because I'm ready to move on with my life doesn't mean that the girls are. Maybe it's too soon for them after Stephen." Miranda said after a few seconds went by.
"Yeah, but you can't put your whole life on hold indefinitely. You've got to do what’s right for you to." Andy replied looking at Miranda.
"I should be doing what's right for the girls." Miranda replied in a firm voice.
"So..." Andy said before letting out a frustrated sigh. "What does that mean? You want to call things off already?" Andy asked as her heart began to sink.
Miranda thought carefully about what she said as she rounded a corner and before she replied, the car skidded on the wet road and a rock-like object hit the windshield and the glass shattered and hit Andy right in the head and the last thing Andy saw was darkness.

Miranda slammed her foot on the break and the car swerved to a stop.
"Andrea." Miranda said as she turned to Andy whose head was laying against the side window. "Andrea." Miranda said again and began to shake her lover in hopes that she'd just wake up.
"Oh god." Miranda said as she grabbed at her purse and fished out her cell and dialed 911 with a shaky hand. "Andrea. Wake up." Miranda said as she shook Andy again with her free hand.
Someone picked up on the other end of the line of the phone and before the person had a chance to say anything Miranda was already talking.
"Hello. I've had an accident and I need an ambulance...Right away!" Miranda said as she took a quick glance out the window to see if there was anyone around.
