I really wasn't expecting that political answer from Andy. Voting for the lesser of two evils sounds just as apathetic as not voting at all. I'd rather rally for a third party/independent candidate I believed in or protest what's the government has been doing all together than that. And a war for oil? Please. How cliche.

Still a really nice story you've got going here though.

LOL. Honestly? Well, not exactly the type of comment I expected.

It's a fanfiction story, not a platform for my political beliefs. Nor quite the appropriate forum for an in-depth analysis of the reasons behind our engagement in Iraq. And cliches are really only a sin in literature. This isn't literature. It's a DWP fic, Anonymous.

fewthistle, I especially enjoyed the way you described Emily as both empty BB gun chamber and sponge. Poor Emily. And it's always good to see Andy and Miranda actually talking about something of substance, like actual grown-ups (go figure). Thanks for this.

I know it was simply on principle, but thanks for having my back on that *g*.

And thank you for the generous words. I must say, praise from you, as the woman who truly owns DWP, is heartily appreciated. Nice to hear that you feel I am getting this even partially right. New fandoms are always challenging and it is lovely to get words of encouragement from writers whose work I admire. :)

Another great update! And I thought the political bit was hilarious. Reminded me of a conversation I had in Spanish class when I utterly insulted someone by calling her a republican (unfortunately it was true) alas--memories.

You are always so lovely and generous and detailed in your compliments, and I am, as ever, in your debt for the kind words. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed those parts and that the storyline and dialogue is working for you.

I can't imagine that Miranda could keep sane without a sense of humor, so it was fun to play with that. And no, I don't imagined that Miranda would be changed too drastically by much of anything. I'm so gald you like this.
