“Miranda…I” Andrea didn’t know where to start Miranda was staring at the young woman sitting at her breakfast bar.
“I understand what you’re going to say and well…. Oh god! just say it please” Miranda looked positively broken. Andrea knew Miranda was going to be annoyed but she didn’t really think the information would hurt her that much.
“The other night when you were late... last night I…”
“Let it rip Andrea, you’re fed up with the late nights and you want to leave. There really is no need to break it to me gently”
“Em… no I broke the heel off your jimmy choos!”
2. Franz Ferdinand - Do You Wanna
Andrea couldn’t help but stare at the array of good before her eyes. She knew coming to this party would be slightly more… interesting than the usual Ann Summers get together but this was… intense.
“What do you use this one for?” Miranda asked wide eyed picking up a suspicious looking device.
“I actually have no idea” said Andrea looking around desperately for Emily and Serena who has suggested they came to this… show.
“Well well! This one looks interesting” Miranda had an evil look in her eyes. “Well then Andrea do you want to?”
Taking her credit card out of her purse Andrea simply smiled.
3. Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes
Andrea sat on the sofa and thought about the one person she really shouldn’t be thinking about. As she nursed her third or fourth glass of wine she thought of the woman’s hair and the way it felt when she ran her fingers through it in those intimate moments they shared. She rarely allowed herself to look this woman directly in the eyes but when she did, she couldn’t say no. No matter what the crazy demanding task was she would strive to please this woman. In those moments when the job didn’t matter Andy was in over her head but still couldn’t say no. One look into those eyes and she knew she would never say no to Miranda Priestly.
4. Jason Mraz - A Beautiful Mess
“I have nothing to wear!” Andy slouched into the bedroom where an elegant Miranda priestly was fixing her hair.
“Well as fetching as you look in that towel I think we should have a look. What about that Valentino dress I brought home for you?”
Andy mumbled something under her breath
“As much as people think I have super human powers being able to understand you mumble isn’t one”
“It. Makes. Me. Look. Fat. And you!” Andy waved her hands in the direction of Miranda “Look fantastic all the time and I will just make you look bad tonight I’m not going”
“Go put the dress on please, you are not fat.” Miranda said pushing a reluctant Andy towards the closet.
Fifteen minutes later a very elegant Andrea Sachs walked in with a wonderful black valentino dress.
“Sorry about the wait.”
Miranda walked over and put her arms around the younger women.
“You were worth the wait, you look stunning.”
5. Simple Minds - Don’t You (Forget about me)
Andy was packing for a week long assignment away from home when Miranda walked in.
“Do you really have to be gone all week?” she said sitting on the bed
“Yes, I’m sorry I know its annoying but it’s my job” Andy sat next to her partner.
“Hmmm I suppose I of all people should understand that. It’s just… never mind.”
“no come on spit it out” Andy said looking the older woman in the eyes.
“It’s just… this will be the longest we’ve been apart…since…well it’s the longest ever actually.”
“I know, I’m sorry”
“Promise you won’t forget about me?”
“I promise” Andy smiled and leant into kiss Miranda.
