This is so awesome!!! I'll try to get my creative juices flowing ;-). I've never beta-read before and I'm sorry for asking, but what is it exactly that a beta reader does?

Glad you are looking forward to it and I hope that your muse gets into it too!

Beta reading is editing in a very large sense. Different people look for different things at different times. Sometimes a person is looking for content help and making sure the plot twists actually work out. Other times it is more about basic editing: commas, spelling, verb tense, etc. everyone benefits from a beta reading or two or three and the relationship built can become really awesome. Or just business too. Haha.
