God your stuff is just so good! The tension was unprecedented - possibly the best Mirandy read I have ever found! Enlightning! Thank. You.

I don't know why it is, but it is always such a relief and a pleasure to read stories from you. Amazing insight and quality, plus great intellect, emotion, and eroticism is just fantastic. Although Miranda expected shallow water, I never do in your work and this was no exception. I love how Miranda felt so in control, as though she were directing things, only to move wherever andy wanted her to be. Also loved that the end, she recognized this exact fact. Sigh. Wonderful stuff.

Oh, chilly. You know what I forgot to add in my header? I wrote this from your prompt in that ficathon thingie... a prompt that was something like 'margarita night'. Somebody else posted before me and their story was so good I put this one aside and quit writing it for a couple of months... Thank you for your generous comments. I turn to your fics with the same feeling, so I know exactly what you mean (and it makes me grin). Looking forward to what you have on tap hopefully soon... Laura

Oh happy day that my prompt inspired such goodness for us all to enjoy! I am truly gratified, and this was a marvelous piece to answer it. (I had no memory of that prompt until you mentioned it.) What a great surprise. :D

PS: chainofclovers' feedback always points out something insightful that I didn't read the first time--I look forward to a second read thinking about the very things she mentioned so eloquently.

Great lines: "These days, she escorts me everywhere. I suspect I could ask her to the Met's gala next week as my date, and she wouldn't bat an eyelash."

Awesome: "A few years ago Nigel and I had an eye-opening conversation in which he insisted that I need a wife. A young woman to fuss over you and take care of you at home. Someone to be there waiting for you. Raise your children. Someone you can dress up."

I adore this mature Andy.

Beautifully done.

I really hope in real life you're a successful writer because you deserve it.

Aw, thank you so much! From your lips to the publishing industry's ears! Well, that would take me putting my realfic first, when Mirandy has stolen my attention. But thank you for your kind praise. :) Laura

Thank you so much! The pacing / flow is one of those areas that I really needed to work in a specific way, what with Miranda's repetitions, so it's good to hear that it worked for you. :) Laura

Beautiful, in the manner of a stumbled upon gift from nature; the inner part of a shell, that deepest color in the sky at twilight or the myriad colors revealed in a swell of a wave as it catches first light. Lovely!
