A Pile of Stuff: DWP Comment Ficathon!
Who doesn't love a good ficathon, huh? Maybe, like me, you're stuck in the midst of writing a lengthy piece that needs more time before public consumption. Maybe you're having a killer case of writers' block. Maybe you haven't written before and would like a more informal way to try out fic writing without making your own post. Or maybe you've prompted an idea in the past that nobody got around to writing?
In that light (and thanks to our gracious mods) - for the next week you can leave prompts as a comment to this post. To fill the prompt, you simply respond in another comment, a reply to the original. This post will stay open until next Sunday 6th March at 11.59 EST. Here are some brief RULES to keep things orderly:
1. Prompts - these can take any form - a word, a song lyric, a picture (try and keep it down to a reasonable size though) or a 'scene' you've always wanted to see written out. Format like this in the comments to make it clear: Characters or pairing, prompt. e.g.
Miranda/Andy, wedding cake OR
Emily, gen, "where are you going dressed to kill tonight?"
Get creative, don't be afraid to request something outlandish. Threesomes and crossovers are a-okay.
2. Responses - please put some kind of title and most importantly a RATING in the subject line of your reply. All ratings will be accepted, but please label R and NC17 pieces especially! This makes it so much easier to separate out the actual fics for the masterlist.
It's up to the author how to interpret the prompt, but please stick to the pairing (or lack of pairing) that's been requested. If you write something too long for a comment, feel free to post it unlocked to your own journal or community and link to it. You may still wish to have a beta look over your stories before posting, but obviously this is a short-term challenge.
3. Leave Feedback - if someone has taken the time to write something, it's nice to hear thoughts about it. Be kind and constructive please :)
