Five Weeks Later.
"Great. Thank you so much." Andy said into the phone before disconnecting the call. She looked to Miranda and smiled at her. "We've got you your fabulous Rolls Royce to arrive in."
Miranda smiled back at her. "Wonderful news."
Everything for the wedding was basically planned. The three to worry about were picking up the cake and finding a driver for the car which Andy knew Miranda would be asking Roy for his services.
Andy had called up her mother a couple of weeks ago asking if they could use the Sachs backyard for there wedding and her mother had been absolutely thrilled when she had heard the question.
And the third thing was for them to get to Cincinatti and then get married which they were both excited about.
"I told you everything would be ready in time." Andy said as she stepped into Miranda's arms before pressing her lips against her lovers in a soft kiss.
Miranda smiled at her when they pulled back to gaze in one anothers eyes. "Oh I never once doubted that we wouldn't have everything done on time darling." she replied.
Soon Andy reluctantly moved away from her lover and picked up her keys and wallet. "I guess I should head into work." she said not at all happy she had to go as she didn't want to leave her lover who had the whole house to herself.
Miranda smiled at her. "I did say to you that you should take the day off."
Andy groaned. "I wish I did now." she replied. She supposed she couldn't complain as it was her last day of work for the next month.
Miranda wandered over to her and kissed her again. "Oh well. I'm not going to spend a minute without you later tonight." she replied. "I still can't believe you decided that we'd spend the three days before the wedding apart." she said glaring at Andrea.
Andy laughed at her. "It's traditional Miranda."
"I know. I just hate it when your not around." Miranda replied.
"I hate it too." Andy replied and kissed Miranda before glancing at the clock on the microwave. "I gotta go. I'll see you later." she kissed her beloved again. "I love you."
"I love you too. Be careful." Miranda replied and with that she watched as her lover jogged down the hall and disappeared out the front door. With a sigh she drank the rest of her coffee before going upstairs to shower and dress.

Andy was just grabbing her uniform from her locker to get changed when Nate walked into the room. An off smell filled the room and she turned to look at him. "You stink."
"It's the shirt that stinks." Nate replied as he began to take off his tshirt.
Andy pulled off her boots.
"I never stink." Nate added with a grin as he stood there topless.
Andy just laughed at him as she shoved her boots in her locker. "Did you go out last night?"
"Yeah. Was my flat mates birthday. We were playing poker." Nate replied.
"Oh awesome. I love poker." Andy replied.
Nate laughed at her. "Um. Poker is a guys game. Not for girls."
Andy glared at him.
"But strip poker. Strip poker is for girls." Nate continued.
Andy shook her head. "Whatever."
Nate pointed to himself with both of his index fingers. "Game on?" he asked.
Andy laughed. "I'll pass thanks." she replied before grabbing her uniform and headed towards one of the stalls to get changed. "Good morning Alex." she said brightly when the other woman entered the room before she disappeared inside one of the stalls to get changed.
"Whats with her?" Alex asked as she opened her locker.
"Andy? No idea." Nate replied but he grinned into his locker when he opened it.
"You gonna have a shower?" Alex asked as she closed her locker.
"Yeah." Nate replied.
"Good. You stink." Alex replied before she left the room.
Once Alex left Nate turned and looked at the closed door of the stall that Andy was in.

15 Minutes Later.
Andy was in the communications room chatting with Doug when she looked over at the doors when Nate entered the room. He held up two Subway rolls silently asking if she wanted one. She shook her head at him and mouthed no thanks. Doug looked over his shoulder and saw Nate with the roll and nodded. "I'll have one." he said.
"Get in the car." Alex said to Nate when she came up behind him and pushed him away from the door to the commucations room. "Are we going to start our day or what?" Alex asked Andy.
"Yeah. I'm ready." Andy replied and walked away from Doug towards Alex.
"You don't look ready." Alex replied.
"I am." Andy replied and looked over her shoulder at Doug. "We'll chat later." she said before following Alex and Nate down the hall to start their day.

10AM.
Miranda stood from her desk chair and wandered out of her study and down the small hall way before she entered the kitchen. Walking over to the windows she looked outside and sighed. It had only been a couple of hours since her Andrea had left for work but she was already bored out of her mind.
Picking up her phone she sent off a text to Roy for him to pick her up as she figured she'd go into the office for a couple of hours considering she had nothing to do at home because Rosa had done all the house work.
Heading back into her study she grabbed everything she'd need before she went to wait for Roy.
~*~
Emily was currently getting Miranda's schedule ready for when she'd be back from her honeymoon when her phone signalled a new text message. Picking it up she saw a message from Roy and wondered what he would want with her. "She's on her way." it read.
"Oh my god." Emily shrieked as she stared at her phone in shock.
The second assistant looked up at her. "What is it?" she asked.
"Miranda is on her way!" Emily said and stood quickly from her chair. "Clean up this mess!" she said pointing to the papers that were on the second assistants desk. "And then make sure the magazines and News papers that Miranda likes to read are on her desk before she gets here. I'm going accross the street to get her Starbucks." And with the Emily turned around and hurried out of the Runway floors chanting; "I love my job. I love my job. I love my job."
Five minutes later Miranda was stepping out of the elevator on Runway's floor and was met by her second assistant and she gave her a small list of things to do. "Where on earth is my coffee?" she demanded as she glanced at Emily's desk seeing the other woman not there.
"Em, Emily just went to get it." The second assistant replied.
Miranda sighed in annoyance. "That's all." she said before she entered her office and sat down in her chair.
"Oh Miranda I am so sorry I took so long there was a huge line in Starbucks." Emily said as she hurried into Miranda's office slightly panting as she caught her breath from having run the whole way there and back something she wasn't used to.
"As long as its hot I don't care." Miranda replied and picked up her coffee. "You may go." she said once she'd swallowed some of the liquid.
Emily nodded and quickly left the room.
Miranda turned around in her chair to look out to the New York Skyline and her mind went to her lover as she wondered what she was currently doing at work.
~*~
Andy exited the patrol car and walked into the diner to get some pastry snacks for her and Alex leaving Alex and Nate in the car.
Alex gazed out the front window at the passing people but she wasn't exactly seeing them as her mind wandered off on her.
"Don't peek." Alex said softly as she led Sarah into their apartment.
The blonde laughed. "I am not peeking." she said.
"Liar. I could feel your eyes opening against my fingers." Alex replied, she had her hand covered her lovers eyes as they entered another room in their apartment.
"You got me." Sarah replied.
Alex smiled. "Alright. You can open them now." she said as she took her hand away and watched as her wife opening her eyes and how they widened when she saw what Alex had done to their room. "I know its not as extravagant as last year but I hope you like it."
"Honey this is amazing." Sarah said as she looked around the room. There were rose petals on the floor that trailed along to the bed and there were a ton on the bed. And there were candles and fairy lights in various places in the room. "You're amazing." she said as she turned to look at her wife with a wide smile. "I love you so much." she said before pulling Alex into her and kissed her.
Soon Alex led her to the bed and they sat down and she grabbed a box from inside her bedside table and handed it to her beloved.
"I thought we agreed we wouldn't spend over 50 dollars?" Sarah said as she acepted the small rectangle box.
"I couldn't help it." Alex replied.
Sarah opened the box and her breath caught in her throat when she saw the gorgeous bracelet that lay in the bed of red silk in the box. She took it out from the box as tears ran down her cheeks. "I love it." she said as she handed it to Alex who took it and began to put it on her wrist. "I love it." she repeated again but this time in a whisper as she gazed down at it secured on her wrist before looking up into her lovers beautiful eyes.
No words had to be spoken to know what they were both feeling.
Alex took her wifes head with her hands and kissed her again and again before lowering her beloved to the bed and kissed her way softly down her neck and to her chest befor-"
"Alex, we gotta go." Andy said as she bought Alex from her day dream.
Alex gazed at Andy. "What?"
"The assault in Central Park. Doug just told us." Andy replied.
"Right. Yeah." Alex said and grabbed the keys that were hanging in the ignition and turned them starting the engine.
"Hey." Andy said softly and laid her hand on Alex's arm. "You okay?"
"I'm fine." Alex replied but Andy didn't believe her as they drove down the street. "What do we know?"
"Doug got a call of an assault happening in Central Park. He isn't sure whereabouts yet though." Andy said to her.
Alex nodded.
"Where abouts in the park Doug?" Alex asked as they pulled up near Central Park.
"The call came near the Northern Side. Try there." Doug replied.
"Copy that." Alex replied and pulled back onto the street and sped around to the other side of the park.
Once out of the patrol car Andy, Alex and Nate went off in different directions to try and find the assault victim.
"Over there." Andy said when she saw two guys and one of them punching a woman who landed on the ground before they began kicking her.
"Oi!" Andy yelled getting both mens attentions as they turned to look at her. The guy then turned to his mate before they ran off in different directions.
"Treat the girl." Alex said to Nate before running after one of the men whilst Andy went after the other.
"Stop. Police." Andy yelled.
"You had enough?" Alex asked as the guy she'd been chasing came to a dead end at the end of the park with no where else to run.
He turned around and looked at her.
"Well have you?" Alex yelled as she pulled out her police bat. "Get your hands up against the tree." she said to him. He continued to stand there though. "Do it!" she yelled.
After jumping over a few park benchs and tables she finally caught up to the man. Andy lunged forward and wrapped her arms around the males body causing them to fall to the ground.
The guy managed to push her off and the knife he'd been holding collided and sliced accross her arm. Andy yelled out in shock from not expecting it and her right hand went straight to hold her arm. She glared at the guy who turned and looked at her before she lunged forward at him.
The young guy stood up against the tree and Alex stepped closer to him and just as she was about to grab his hands to cuff him he turned around and he punched her in the face. Alex fell backwards and he took this opportunity to run away.
"You fuckin' son of a bitch!" Alex yelled at his retreating form before she jumped up from the ground and went after him again.
Meanwhile Andy was wrestling the other slightly older guy who still held a knife in his hand as she tried to get it out of his grip so as not to get stabbed. When the oppurtunity arose she used her right hand to strangle the man. He began fidgeting and tried to free himself but her grip around his neck was too tight and with her free hand Andy grabbed the knife from the guys hand. After throwing the knife aside so the guy couldn't grab it she took the pair of hand cuffs she had attached to the waist of her pants and cuffed the knife man.
After giving the two men to the Central Park officers who finally arrived Andy went over to Alex.
"Oh ouch." Andy said when she saw the bruise forming around Alex's left eye. "You're gonna have one hell of a shiner in the morning."
Alex grunted a response not happy about getting punched in the face. "What happened to you?" she asked as she looked at Andy's blood stained shirt on her arm.
"The guy had a knife and slashed me with it." Andy explained the blood. "Bastard." she added as they continued towards their patrol car.
Once at the car they saw Nate waiting for him. "How was the woman?" Andy asked.
"I don't know. They took her away before I could question them about it." Nate replied.
"So you didn't ask how she was?" Alex said with a raised eyebrow.
"No. I couldn't because the paramedics were checking her out." Nate replied.
"Are you seriously that stupid that you can't even ask what sort of a situation an assault woman is in?" Alex asked and shook her head.
Nate replied but Alex ignored him by getting in the car and starting the engine.

Miranda finished off a few meaningless tasks in her office before she shut down her laptop and rose from her desk. She walked out into the outer offices where Emily and the newest second assistant, whatever her name was, sat working. "I'm done here and won't be coming back." Miranda said as she looked at Emily.
Emily stood from her desk and nodded at Miranda. "Is there anything I can do for you?"
"Not that I can think of." Miranda replied and shocked Emily by getting her own coat and bag. "I am capable of doing these sorts of things Emily." she said softly to the other woman.
"Of course Miranda." Emily replied as she watched Miranda start walking down the hall. "I'll see you on the weekend." she said to her boss' retreating back. She saw Miranda nod her head before she disappeared down another hall way towards the bay of elevators.
She collapsed in her office chair and glanced at the time. The clock said 11:45 which meant she only had to stay at work for another hour and a half. She decided that she'd go out to a club for a couple of drinks that night as she dreaded going home to an empty apartment.
~*~
When Miranda reached the front steps of the Townhouse she leant down and picked up a small packaged that sat on the steps. She glanced at the name scribbled on the front and saw it was for Cassidy. Putting the keys in the door she entered the house and kicked her heels off with a sigh before she made her way down into the kitchen where she placed the package on the bench and took out a mineral water from the fridge. She sat down at the table and sipped her drink whilst she looked over the latest issue of Runway that was there.
Meanwhile Alex pulled the car outside of the precinct and Nate got out of the car as he shift with them had finished. Alex sighed in relief when they watched him disappear inside. "Thank god." she said.
"He's not that bad." Andy replied.
"Are you serious?" Alex replied.
"Yeah he is annoying but I bet he has a good reason for why he is." Andy replied.
Alex rolled her eyes at Andy. "Right."

"Seriously guys there's no hurry." Doug said to them through the radio.
They'd been informed about a robbery happening at a small diner near Madison Avenue and they were currently on there way to the cafe.
"Where three minutes off smart arse." Alex replied.
Doug chuckled as he glanced at one of the screens in front of him of video footage of three men robbing a cafe. "They're off and running." he said when he saw them leave the store and disappear from the video camera.
Soon Andy, Alex and Nate came accross the car with the three men in it. The car was on the other side of the street and Andy indicated before she turned the wheel and pulled the car side ways to a stop in front of the other car.
The other car stopped and the guys piled out of the car and began running.
Alex was first out of the patrol car and easily caught up with one of the black masked men and she tackled him to the ground. Nate caught up with another whilst Andy chased the third down the street.
"Get down!" Alex yelled as she held the guy to the ground and cuffed him.
Nate cuffed the guy he'd caught before he glanced in the car and saw that all three weapons were gone from the car.
"Alex the other guy has a weapon on him." Nate said as he pushed the guy he was holding towards the patrol car.
"Get up." Alex yelled to the guy she had and pulled him up from the ground and frog marched him towards the patrol car. "Has your mate got a gun?" she asked him. And she repeated herself when he ignored her. He finally nodded at her and she looked at Nate. "Go."
Nate nodded and turned and began running in the direction Andy had gone in. "Andy the offender could have a weapon." he yelled into his radio as he ran down the street. "Andy I repeat the guy could have a weapon! I'm going to come to you from the other direction."
Andy walked around another corner with her gun held out in front of her. She slowly and quietly made her way down the near deserted street. "Police. Stop right there!" she yelled when she finally came accross the guy.
He turned and pointed the gun he was holding at her.
"Drop it! Drop it now!" She yelled at him before she saw Nate walk into the street behind the offender.
Nate fired his gun.
"Shit." Andy hissed as the bullet just missed her.
"Drop it. Get on your knees!" Nate yelled.
"Drop it!" Andy yelled as she walked closer to the guy.
The guy finally dropped his gun and Nate picked it up.
Andy put her gun back before she took the cuffs she had on her and proceeded to put them on the guy. "What the hell was that Cooper?" she demanded at Nate.
"Nice huh?" Nate replied.
"No!" Andy shouted at him as she pulled the guy up from the ground. "What are you? Rambo?" she said to him before she pushed the guy she was holding to start walking back down the street. "Move!" she yelled at him. She'd been in a mood ever since she'd got slashed in the arm from the knife by the man that morning in the park and wanted nothing more then to be home with her amazing finacee instead of stuck at work paired with Nate.
When they gave over the three men to another patrol car to deal with Andy walked over to Nate. "I had him Nate he was mine."
"He was pointing a gun at you." Nate replied.
"Yeah and you were standing right behind him so if I had fired I'd have taken your fucking head off!" Andy replied not at all happy with Nates actions.
"You're making this into a big deal." Nate replied.
Andy ignored him. "What are you practising for the SWAT team, are you?"
"I called it like I saw it." Nate replied.
"You were in my line of fire!" Andy yelled at him.
"I was covering you!" Nate replied.
Andy laughed at this as she pulled open the drivers side door. "No. You were just in the way!"
"That's bullshit." Nate replied.
"You either put this in your report and we get an investigaton or you two bloody grow up and get on with it. Now let's go!" Alex said to them.
~*~
About an hour later they got called to a domestic at a townhouse a couple of blocks from the Sachs/Priestly residence.
Andy pulled the car up outside the house and walked up to Dom.
"What's going on?" Andy asked.
"The 30 year old man is still in there and apparently has a knife. He has a 7 or 8 year old son and the mother is no where to be seen." Dom said to her.
"Alright. Andy you go check down there." Alex said pointing to a side alley.
Andy nodded. "Try not and get us shot hey?" she said to Nate before she walked away down the alley way.
"Open up this is the Police." Alex said and knocked on the door.
The door opened and a kid stood on the other side.
"Hey Mate, whats your name?" Alex asked.
"Charlie. My dads not here."
"Right. Where did he go?" Alex asked.
"Out the back."
"Andy he went your way." Alex said into her radio before she straightened. "Dom and I are Police Officers so would you mind if we came in to have a look around?" she asked.
He shook his head and opened the door wider for them. "Good on ya kiddo." Alex said before she stepped inside the house and walked down the small hall way.
"How long ago did ya Dad leave?" Alex asked as she looked around the kitchen.
"Not too long."
"About 10 minutes ago." Dom said to her.
Andy reached the back of the apartment building and looked through the gate before she stepped into the small backyard.
"What about your Mum is she here?" Alex asked.
The little boy shook his head. "I don't think so. I haven't seen her today."
Andy walked to the back door and stepped inside and found Alex and Dom in the kitchen. "This is Andy so stay with her for a bit while we look around, okay?" Alex said before she left the kid with Andy and headed out the back with Dom.
"Hey Charlie. Let's go outside hey." Andy said and led the boy out to the front where Nate was.
Alex walked over to a small gardern shed and opened the door. She stopped instantly when she saw a woman laying on the ground. She had blood on her face, coming from her mouth, and down her chest. "Fucking hell." Alex said.
"Doug we need ambo's to this address we are at urgently. We have a woman with a head injury." Dom said. "How is she?" he asked.
"Pretty bad." Alex said from where she knelt in front of the woman who seemed to a be maybe a couple of years older then her.
"You just don't get it, do you?" Andy said as she walked past Nate to the Patrol Car.
"Oh my god you're making too much of this!" Nate replied.
"Yeah I could of been shot no big deal!" Andy said to him over her shoulder.
"It was never going to happen." Nate replied following Andy as they heard the sirens from the ambulance.
Andy laughed and spun around to face him. "You can't say that!"
"Okay well if you want to fill out a report then thats what you need to do." Nate replied.
"Oh shut up Nate. Just shut up!" Andy said to him just as the amublance came into view and stopped near them.
Andy pushed Nate out of her way and sighed in annoyance. "Such a child!" she said to herself before she informed one of the paramedics on what was going on.
After the woman was taken away in the ambulance to a hospital, they got in the patrol car and headed back out on the streets.
~*~
After a couple more jobs they'd been called to Andy finally walked through the front door. She sighed as she took off her boots from her aching feet and pulled off her shirt leaving her in her tank top as she padded down the hall way the smell of dinner greeting her along the way. She found Rosa in the kitchen who greeted her like usual and Andy smiled at her and pulled out a bottle of water from the fridge. "Is Miranda home?" she asked.
Rosa nodded. "She's upstairs."
Andy nodded. "Thanks." she said before she turned around and walked back down the hall and up the stairs in search of her lover. She found her in her study. "Well hey there beautiful." she said as she entered the room looking at her lover who was sitting on the couch with a book.
Miranda looked up at her and smiled so glad to see her lover home. She put down her book. "Oh am I glad to see you. I have had the most boring day!" she said.
Andy smiled at her and sunk down on the couch next to her lover glad to be home from a busy day at work. "Miss me, did you?" Andy said with a smirk.
"Always." Miranda replied and leaned forward and kissed her lover softly.
Andy kissed MIranda back. "I've missed you too." she whispered when they pulled back slightly to gaze at one another. "I wish I had of been home with you instead of having the shitty day I had." she added.
Miranda cupped her lovers cheek and they gazed at one another silently.
"What did you get up to today?" Andy asked.
"I decided late morning to go into Runway for a bit where I did some meaningless tasks because I wasn't doing anything here. I then came home a couple of hours and have been waiting for you to come back to me ever since." Miranda replied. She wasn't used to spending her days at home as she was usually always at work for a few hours. She would have preferred to have her Andrea with her today, or even the girls, instead of being alone.
"Well I am home now and you're stuck constantly with me for over a month." Andy replied with a grin. "Think you can handle that?" she asked.
Miranda chuckled. "I do every other day, don't I?" she replied.
Andy smiled.
"I look forward to our time away darling and making you mine." Miranda said softly as she thredded her fingers on her right hand through her lovers brunette hair. "You're so beautiful."
"Hardly. I no doubt look absolutely horrid and I stink of sweat." Andy replied.
Miranda shook her head. "Oh no." she said and continued. "I think you look sexy." she said as she began to kiss down Andy's neck. "I want you." she said, desperation clear in her voice.
Andy grinned. "Let's take this to the shower?" she asked and kissed Miranda's cheek before she rose from the couch bringing her lover up with her and they headed for the bathroom.
~*~
Andy took off her tank top and was about to get in the shower when she heard Miranda gasp. She turned to look at her lover and saw what had caused the gasp. Her eyes were looking at the cut on her arm.
"Darling what happened?" she asked as she carefully touched Andy's arm around the cut.
"I tackled a guy down and he had a knife and slashed me accross the arm with it. And in the afternoon Nate fired at a guy and missed me by like an inch." Andy replied. "I'm absolutely fine though. The cut? It doesn't even hurt anymore." she added reassuring her lover as she cupped her cheer with her hand.
Andy leaned forward and pressed her lips to Miranda's.
"I always worry about you when your at work." Miranda softly said.
Andy nodded. "I know." she replied. "I can handle myself out there though." she added reassuringly.
After what happened to Sarah while out on the job and the pain it was causing Alex, Miranda knew she wouldn't be able to cope if anything were to happen to her lover. The thought frightened Miranda as she would seriously be lost without her Andrea. "I know you do darling but I still worry." Miranda replied softly and held her lover closer.
