A Month Later.
Alex and Andy were going around the city on patrol when Doug's voice came through the radio. "Hey, ah just got informed that Sarah and Dom's car was involved in a collision. They have yet to make contact."
At his words Alex's heart began to pound in her chest.
"Where abouts did this happen?" Andy asked.
Doug told them where and Andy began driving in the direction.
They soon arrived at the site and saw the banged up patrol car.
Alex made out a car in front of it but she wasn't paying much attention to it. "Sarah." she said when she saw her wife sitting on the gutter just by the patrol car. "Oh thank god!" she breathed as she quickly went over to her and put her arms around her.
Sarah turned in her wifes embrace and buried her head in Alex's neck and began to sob as the shock of what had just happened only just hit her.
"Shh, everything is okay now. I'm here baby." Alex said as she hold her wife close feeling tears well up in her own eyes.
They pulled away from each other slightly and Alex looked in her wifes eyes. She then saw blood down the side of her wifes beautiful face. "Your hurt."
"I'm alright." Sarah replied. It was a lie as her head was pounding.
"You should know you can't lie to me. I see right through it." Alex replied. "I'm getting you a doctor." she said firmly before she kissed her wife on the forehead before standing and getting one of the paramedics to check her wife out.
Andy watched the scene in front of her and felt a few tears trailing down her cheeks. Sarah and Alex were so beautiful together she couldn't see it any other way. She walked over to the ambulance that had pulled up and told them about Dom and that she'll call his wife.
They put him in a gurney and in the hospital. Andy asked what hospital he was going to before they told her and they left.
Shelley came up to her. "I'm going to follow them. Come if you like."
Andy nodded. "We'll follow you shortly" and with that Shelley was off in her car.
The paramedic had told Sarah and Alex that the blonde had a concussion and would need to take it easy.
Alex helped Sarah up as her feet were a little unsteady and she sat in the back with her in her arms as Andy drove them to the hospital as the three of them wanted to be their for their teammate.
"I booked us a holiday." Alex said softly to her wife.
"A holiday? Where?" Sarah asked surprised.
"Yes. I'll be taking you away next month. I'm not telling you where though." Alex replied.
Sarah pouted. "Well I'm looking forward to it." she said and snuggled closer to her wife.
"Me too." Alex replied holding her close.

An hour later as they sat in the waiting room Nate showed up.
"Hey. What's going on?" Nate asked as she went to Alex and Sarah and Andy.
"No idea. They rushed Dom off somewhere and haven't told us anything considering we aren't family." Alex replied before they remained quiet hoping that their friend would be alright.
Soon a doctor came out and told them what was happening with Dom. He was stable but would have a long recovery.
They all sighed in relief at the news.

Sarah stepped into Alex's personal space and smiled at her wife.
"You sure you're okay?" Alex asked for the thousandth time.
Sarah smiled at her wife and nodded. "That holiday sure sounds like a really good idea right now though." she replied.
Andy walked to Nate and Shelley and pointed to the love birds and they all grinned at them.
Alex kissed Sarah's forehead and stared into her eyes before nodding her head in agreement. "I love you Sarah. So much."
"I know." Sarah smiled. "I love you too. Always." she said and they rested their foreheads against each other.
Alex stared into her loves eyes before they fluttered closed and Sarah's head fell forward onto Alex's shoulder. Her knees gave out falling fully onto Alex as she fell unconcious.
Everyone ran over to them as Alex laid Sarah carefully on the ground. "We need some help over here!" Shelley yelled as she knelt down next to the blonde. "Sarah, sarah, wake up." Shellley said as Alex stood frozen staring down at her wifes unconcious body in shock.
"What happened?" A doctor asked coming over to them.
"I..I'm not sure. We were just talking and then she just fell against me." Alex replied.
Andy stood next to Alex as they watched the doctors lift Sarah up off the ground and onto a gurney.
Alex instantly went to Sarah's side and grabbed her hand. "I'm right here baby." she said as they began going down the hall way. She was stopped by a nurse.
"I'm sorry you aren't able to go any further." The nurse said.
Alex stared as the doctor and other nurse disappeared with her wife before she turned to glare at the nurse. "What do you mean I can't go any further? She's my wife! I have a right to be with her!" she said feeling anger rise up in her stomach.
Andy quickly came to stand next to Alex and she put an arm around her shoulder. "Just um let us know straight away when you know what's happening please." Andy said politely to the nurse who nodded at her before walking towards where they'd taken Sarah.
"She has to be okay. I can't lose her." Alex said as she stared down the empty hall way.
Andy hugged Alex closer. "Of course she's going to be okay." she said softly as they stood their together.
