Here we are again with IDF around the corner (7/14-7/15) so I thought, why not another
Comment Fic-A-Thon for warm up or inspiration.
Some of this communities BEST stories have come from fic-a-thons, why not give it a longer span of time for the creative juices to flow.
We'll start tonite (was gonna be tomorrow but I couldn't wait any longer) and I'll close prompt posting on
Friday, 7-6-2012.
THAT'S 4 WEEKS!!!
CAN'T YOU JUST IMAGINE THE
AWSOMENESS THAT
COULD BE CREATED IN THAT TIME.
For A Little something different I want to set a goal for prompts and stories since the time period is longer than usual. Because of that I'd like to ask everyone who posts a prompt to try and stretch your witing legs and give us at least one story to enjoy. It doesn't have to be fantastic or amazing or prize winning...just give yourself a chance. I didn't even know I had the tiny bit of ability I have to write until I discovered THIS community and was inspired by a prompt in this fandom.
You can not fail if you at least attempt!
So, 4 WEEK GOALS:
PROMPTS-700
STORIES-450
I KNOW WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!
Okay, for the next 4 weeks please leave prompts as a comment to this post. To write for the prompt, simply respond in another comment as a reply to the original comment. I'm gonna leave the post open until Friday 7-6-2012 at 11.59 CST.
Here's how to do it to keep it all organized:
1. PROMPTS Use your imagination! Songs, poems, quotes, commercial jingles, pics (keep 'em small tho) or maybe some scene running through your head and you'd like to see someone bring it to life.
Post them like this so we can all stay on the same page
Pairing: ie Miranda/Andrea, Emily/Serena/Lily, Any
What you want to see: ie Singing in the shower or "What part of 'That'sAll' do you not understand?"
2. RESPONSES Please make sure you give it a title (It's SO much easier for people to find it again when they know the title) MOST IMPORTANT RATING! Rate your story! It's very very necessary. Especially R or NC17. It's up to the writer to interpret the prompt but please honor the pairing (or lack of). After all, that's what the prompter is jonesing for. Also PLEASE note any warnings, i.e. character death, violence. If, as all we readers hope, your story is too long for a comment, post it to your journal or the community and post the link, don't let us miss it!
3. FEEDBACK THAT'S WHY WE DO IT!!! Sure we write for ourselves too, but the true joy is when someone else enjoys what we create. Please let the writers know how much you enjoyed their work.
LET THE CREATIVITY BEGIN!!!
As Always;
Happy Reading
And
Happy Writing!!
