Let's pretend for a moment that i have a lot of time to read, in between my 8-to-5 and my after-hours freelance writing and blogging projects, and I can actually squeeze in a lot of reading time. (I think I mentioned somewhere before that I download e-books FASTER than I can actually read them. And I have 1.02GB worth of ebooks waiting to be read ( Read more... )

I too have been on a YA binge and that is my when-I'm-busy-and-can't-digest-another-Murakami-novel-just-yet-but-I-still-want-to-read-something genre of choice. These are some of the books I've read and loved and they fit your criteria:

David Levithan (he's my favorite YA author)
- Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
- Lovers' Dictionary (super reco, mega easy read)
- Will Grayson, Will Grayson (collaboration with John Green)

John Green
- The Fault in Our Stars

Gabrielle Zevin
- Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac (I read this even before it became a film and book is so much better, sorry Tego XD)

Jerry Spinelli
- Stargirl

Wendelin Van Draanen
- Flipped

If you want e-books of these, I can email you :)

The Fault in Our Stars! Loved that one. And I will no longer say anything about that so as not to spoil XD

The movie adaptation of Flipped is quite nice too :) But read the book first, hehe.

I left Mimura (my HD) so I'll email you the ebooks when I get home. ^_^

Ok! Will add that to my to-read list!

They're NA, though. And the second book was so roughly edited, if at all (summersault, DUH.) but I think it's worth a read. I'll email 'em to you later, files are at home. :)

Is it okay if I jump in? I know the post is old an all, (I actually came here looking for a HNA ep.
I usually don't read contemporary YA because I try to avoid the love woes that seem to be the norm, that and I love fantasy. :D

The Sight by David Clement-Davies

Almost a Woman by Esmeralda Santiago

Interestellar Pig by William Sleator

Number The Stars By Lowis Lowry

Faerie Wars by Herbie Brennan

The Last Elf by Silvana de Mari

The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch (I don't think this one counts as YA but I've been trying to get everyone to read it lately XD)

Hi! I read those books too, and i found it enjoyable, though i like the first book more than the second one.
Anyway, if you'd like some other good books, you could try these:
1. Vain by Fisher Amelie (MOST recommended)
2. The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay
3. My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
Also, I'm wondering if you have a Goodreads account. If you do, can I add you as friend there? My Goodreads' name is Tara Karina, btw :)
