Another future fanart! Yay for productivity; done with a black India ink brush pen, pencil for shading, and Staedtler technical pen for horizontal lines.
Squee, Sokka is SO HAWT IN THAT OUTFIT! I am such a Zuko-fangirl but you keep up this lovely work and you might convert me! Oh nooooes! Your lines are so crisp too, I am just in awe.
Thanks!! I think the reason my lines look better than usual is because of the brushpen I was using to ink. :O It somehow keeps the flow and allows a natural looking line variation than I wouldn't be able to reproduce with a technical or dip pen.
It's awesome, but at the same time, I get a little frustrated because I want to develop gorgeously smooth lines using a dip pen since I tend to draw details too fine for a brush pen when I do comics. I was wondering, what do you use to ink? Or do you generally keep to digital?
I want to develop gorgeously smooth lines using a dip pen I find if you take a good breath and slowly release it as you draw a long line with a dip pen it comes out smoother.
Just when I thought Sokka couldn't get more pimp, you go and give him a fur collar! =D
I like how feminine Katara looks; like she is mature enough now to realize that allowing herself to be a bit more feminine doesn't undermine her strength.
Awesome pic! I love that you inked it with a brush. It's much more organic looking than you could get with nibs or pigment liners.
In my defense, Sokka's original jacket had fur lining as well! XD And ooh, that's a nice way to put Katara's feminiminintiniy. I wasn't thinking about that at all at the time, but yes!! :D
D: WHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT?????? they're both so BEAUTIFUL!!! why haven't i admired this picture in person yet??? i feel like such a douche turd!! well, here i am now, ADMIRING to the FULLEST bc WHOAAA they are GORGEOUS XD~~~~~ sokka looks so manly... like SOOOO manly and katara is so likeable. hahahaha even more so that normal. i think it's her hair and serene expression. LOOOOOVE it <3
