We went to the Dragon Boat festival today. We cheered on gemtiger's race--although we didn't actually know which boat was her team, and they didn't make any announcements, but we later found out they won, so that was good

I'm so happy you guys came down and had a good time, and sorry I couldn't get in touch - unfortunately there just wasn't much time between our first and second races. We are ranked 8th overall heading into the semi-finals, and we'll be fighting tooth and nail to hang onto that position and compete in the top division.

I was also disappointed they had no zongzi. :( Last year they kind of made cameo appearances as part of a cooking demonstration, but I don't think they're doing any of that this year. Also I have never had any with peanut filling and this sounds rather tasty, but I think this delicacy is not part of Cantonese cuisine - I usually have savoury ones.
