Boston bombs and Margaret Thatcher; hatred, prudence

I was planning on making a post today about Margaret Thatcher's death and the "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" campaign. I was planning on writing about how disappointing it is that people can often be more readily motivated to work from a motive of hatred rather than love or positive action. I have the same reactions to kids being harmed - it's become a lot stronger since Peter arrived.

Prudence is a good thing, but you're right, it's not dramatic enough to be celebrated generally!

The most disturbing part of the media coverage (for me)is how desperate they are to have the "exclusive" and usually that means going up to a person who just went through an unbelievably difficult experience and expect them to provide a great soundbite for the evening news.
