I asked the children's librarian at our local branch to keep an eye out for picture books where a character has glasses but the glasses aren't the point of the book. She has picked out a few things, but one big hit has been the series by Mo Willems, Elephant & Piggie ( Read more... )

I'll have to try and make some. I've made cottage cheese and sour cream, even Neufchatel, from whole milk... The last, literally in the kitchen sink.

Paneer seems to be unsalted, main difference from western cheeses.

Does it taste like farmer's cheese?

I think if you ever want to go back to tofu, you'd have to start really small and not as a main course. Miso soup is a good way for tiny particles of tofu, and you really can use any texture, from silken to firm.

You can never have enough socks! :P
