Is 女 the chinese character for woman?
Because the japanese kanji for woman (onna) is 女. It's one of the few kanji I know. :D

Yes it is. All Kanji were originally Chinese characters, although some of them have slightly different meanings now or are written somewhat differently.

The Kanji for man, otoko, is also the character for man, 男 nan2.

I got weirded out when I saw "愛在西元前 Ai Zai Xi Yuan Qian (Love in BC)." Why would Jay Chou sing about my little province, hmm? ALthough then I looked at the Chinese and realized it's BC as in... not AD. XD
