That's a great looking soup. I'll have to do something similar (and meatless) some Wednesday or Friday this Lent.

Poor Pip! Poor you! *hugs you both*

Title for a book that needs to be written: Pip and the Jaws of the Baby Eating Menace (in which Pip slays a dragon shaped like a stroller).

Perhaps the borscht was a little too flavourful? Especially the dill. They're so much more sensitive.

I remember when my mom insisted the water wasn't too hot when getting baths as a small child.

You know, when I was a kid, my mom would blow dry my hair and I would cry. I remember it feeling like she was holding a blow torch next to my face - I would have sworn up and down that I could feel little pinpricks of sparks. As an adult, using a blow dryer is no big deal, but damn, I was so sensitive to it when I was little.

Made with duck broth, kohlrabi, shredded carrots and beets, cabbage, scallions, mushrooms, shallots, garlic, and chicken. Sour cream and fresh dill. Very very yummy. So I don't know what's up with Pip that she didn't like it.

She's sane? :P

I'm guessing you're one of those horrible savory people?
