Pottermore, Pippamost

Today was very productive as well! I did four loads of laundry, cleaned up the dining and living room, swept the rooms I didn't sweep earlier in the week, and all of that while dealing with a baby with a cold. The cold doesn't seem to affect her mood too much, but she had to be coaxed into nursing and... well... ( Cut for those who don't want their ignorance lifted on certain aspects of babies with colds )

I've found the same thing with Sly...I can usually be doing chores around the house, and he's okay, as long as he's near me. The second I even LOOK at the computer, he starts screaming. He knows that it takes my attention away from him!

Th thing is, I have wayyyyyy more stuff to do on the computer than around the apartment because we have a tiny apartment and my "job" such as it is, is all computer. Also Pip takes very short naps--she takes 3 or 4 thirty minute to one hour naps per day, and that's it. I didn't luck out with one those regular as clockwork two hour morning, afternoon and evening nappers. Now that I've discovered that she lets me do cleaning while awake, the apartment has never looked better. I vitally need that 3 hours ish she sleeps during the day to be on the computer.

That said, I do try if possible to get music or other sounds going before she falls asleep. Also, we live right by a major intersection on the way to a hospital in friggin' Vancouver so there's traffic and sirens all day and all night. It isn't noise that she can't sleep through, it's sudden loud local noise, like Mama dropping the broom...
