For years I have been convinced that the name of the theme song to the TV show, "Get Smart" was, "Don Pardo Like Me."

I have no idea why I believe this.

Checking google that phrase has 0 hits of any kind, and no Get Smart fan sites list that as the name.

Yesterday was a low day for me movie wise. My boyfriend and I watched both of the new War of the Worlds films; the one by Spielberg, and the other by Pendragon pictures.

( No spoilers but a bit long )

I have seen a real down turn lately in the quality of management I encounter in the tech world. Most of the managers I have been working with in the last three years have been engineers promoted up through the ranks. The difference between a manager and an over promoted engineer is that the engineer believes that any team is limited by its weakest member whereas a real manager realize that they are only limited by what they are inspired to do and that it is her job to inspire them.
