Fall is fast approaching and I am so excited for spooky season. I really want to do some hand-crafted decorations but I can't decide what exactly I want to do. Probably something basic like crochet webs and spiders. maybe some pumpkins. A wreath or a little garland of ghosts would be fun too.

I put some new live plants in Travis's tank and he seems to be enjoying them. At least, he's been slithering around a lot more than he has been lately. Not only in and around the plants, granted, but I'm assuming it's related. Something to do with the change in humidity, maybe? Trump has triggered my gag reflex for ages and the only things I want to hear out of Harris are things I have no faith in her to say. I kinda wanna join a fandom exchange-- I've seen a few now for Halloween-- but Idk. It's been so hard for me to write lately and I haven't finished anything this year since my Femslash February drabbles. Maybe having a schedule and someone counting on me would help me buckle down... orrr maybe I'd just let someone other than myself down. Idk. -

I learned of an illustrator on Twitter who has a super cute style and I bought myself her debut graphic novel, If You'll Have Me. It's a very sweet sapphic love story set in a college. The main pairing is butch/femme but what caught my attention when I first saw the art is that it's an Asian butch and a Black femme, which isn't something I've seen ( Read more... ) -

Hit the farmer's market again! They didn't have the herbs I wanted but I did get some more tomatoes, some potatoes and-- drum roll, please-- some garlic! At last! Made it to the movies! Ended up not doing a double feature, though, and also ended up not seeing one of the movies I was thinking about seeing. I'd been looked at Afraid and Trap, which both look like solidly mediocre horror flicks and aren't ages long. So, might still double feature those another day. I took the bus to the farmer's market today! I got some more eggplant, tomatoes and peppers.
