I don't mind when people offer me rides when I'm walking to work-- especially when they recognize my work clothes and/or the weather is not ideal for walking in. Quite apart from minding, I very much appreciate it regardless of whether I take up the offer

Apparently so. It really threw me for a loop because usually people who stop for me are really nice and respectful.
