I have found it impossible not to like him. It's astonishing, considering how little I wanted him when he first came, but I can't help finding him endearing..
I was seriously irritated at the behavior at some of the so-called Barcelona "superstars." But in the end, it didn't even matter, because how good was the second half, really? Bellers redeemed himself magnificiently, Momo was so strong (Bascombe says it's not serious? no official word yet though), and I was pleasantly surprised by Arbeloa. Pepe had some fantastic moments too. He's huge in real life. O_O
I was so annoyed with all those absolutely ridiculus free-kicks they were given - I felt as if they got them just because they're Barcelona, you know? But we didn't let that get us down, and how wonderful was it to see us actually trying to attack even when it was 1-1? And I rubbed my hands in glee thinking how Chelsea can't say a damn thing to us now, because they didn't manage to beat Barcelona at Nou Camp. Yes, I'm still annoyed with all their grumbling regarding our achivements in the CL compared to theirs. Erm.
Arbeloa was actually quite good in my opinion. When I saw him on the starting sheet I was all 'WTF?' but he proved himself good. I actually thought that the times he was exposed was mainly to blame with Riise's failure to act as a second defender, due to lack of proper running throughout the match. I was very moved to see our offside trap working wonders all 04/05-esque in the second half. And Pepe's save! I love him. He's certainly very quick and bouncy to be big!
