oh joy. Seriously? The woman is known for setting her house on fire? I am sorry but why don't the authorities do something? That's a ticking time-bomb. Maybe I watch way to many procedurals I don't know. She should go to a shrink or something. OMG glad both you and your appartment seem to be in one piece. Ohh snow so jealous. I live too far south. Snow is something I see on the tellie. (although I am happy I don't have to shovel it).

Authorities here are crap. Or more correctly, their arms are tied. The law is written in such way that until someone does something that results in someone getting hurt (themselves or someone else) you can't touch them. Eh.

I love snow. But also when I don't have to shovel it, ha ha, had way too much of that last year.
Sadly, it didn't take, the ground was wet and it wasn't falling long so there's none left. We didn't have any proper snowy days this year yet. I hoped for white Christmas, but oh well.

Love the appropriate Castle icon. ♥

Our authorities are a bunch of crap too. Their hands our not tied they just don't give a rats ass and they are corrupt and sold out. Cops here beat up people that protest peacefully threaten them and other such crap. I do not get this from blogs but from my sister who was just sitting protesting peacefully and then cops surrounded them from three sides and started to advance on them which in turn forced the crowd that was sitting on a stone wall back into the subway ...(the only way they could go) forced them into the subway and then threw in the subway a smoke bomb. All the while they were doing that they were standing on top of the subway entrance hitting their globes against their shields daring people to come back out so they could beat them up.

I heartily suggest you install (or request Landlord to install) carbon monoxide sensor.

Thanks for that suggestion. I'll look into that and where one could buy one here.

... Are you serious about that neighbour? She just sounds ... unreal, I guess.

Apparently she drinks and falls asleep. And sometime mixes pills with booze. Nobody knows for sure, but most neighbours had few theories. She seemed out of it when firemen got here (and not just because of the smoke). Eh.
