I actually don't like kids. And don't know what to do with them when I get stuck with them in proximity. Though strangely enough they seem to like me. O_o Go figure. lol But yes, I wish they found a better story for Cuddy.
Thanks. :) I'm in my Halloween 'outfits'/icons. I loved that costume Lois wore.
I agree with you on the baby thing. It makes me sad to see such stereotypes, especially because on House all female characters are less complex and interesting than male ones (just my opinion).
Exactly! It's like they couldn't come up with another story for Cuddy. There are so many possibilities to create drama, how hard can it be? And not only that, but to have her fall apart like that, to the point where she's advising someone against their well being just to get a kid? Grrh. I, just...yeah. I'll go stab some pillows now. :)
I like House and Cuddy bickering. But the kiss felt a bit awkward and random to me. Guess we'll see more when we see the fallout next week. :)
Yes!! The kiss was sort of random, I'm not the only one who thinks that! :D House & Cuddy have had more intense moments than this..oh well. I just hope Cuddy doesn't stay this mopey and touchy feely :\
I always thought that if they kiss it would be during a fight, and he'll just grab her and plant one on her to shut her up. lol This was...not that awesome. And I agree, I hate when characters mope. Hopefully Cuddy will bounce back up.
I think the kids we get at my workplace are putting me off for life. I am so sick of little brats throwing stuff on the floor in a tauntrum, and their parents just expecting us to get them a replacement, and for them to only pay for it once. The other day I snapped at a little girl to leave something alone, and she run off crying to a more er maternal member of staff...
Mwa ha ha!!! I read that entry of yours before going to bed the other night, but I think I was too sleepy to reply. Plus, it would have been too evil just to laugh my ass off at the kid. >:) Seriously though, I hate when parents can't control their kids in public and let them run around and do what they want like little savages. If you can't keep them civilized than leave them at home!
Yeah, but Cuddy doesn't make rational decisions when it comes to little kids, especially one that might become her own. (re: her not behaving like a doctor)
I agree with you that not every woman needs a kid to feel completely fulfilled, but I will also say that a lot of women (the majority, if you will) do want to have children in their life. So for me, Cuddy's storyline is nothing unusual - a bit cliche, yes, maybe, but so very believable - a career woman without a steady relationship who feels her bio clock ticking, it happens all the time. (Once again, it doesn't happen ALWAYS, and that's perfectly fine as well.) Then again, you know me, I like kids and I'd like to have some of my own some day. :)
I wasn't spoiled, so I was kind of WTF?! at the kiss. I agree that it was random and kind of awkward, but yeah, it all depends on where they go from here.
Eek, sorry for such late reply hon. I'm way behind with my comments. O_o
Yeah, but Cuddy doesn't make rational decisions when it comes to little kids, especially one that might become her own. (re: her not behaving like a doctor) I find that annoying frankly. She runs the hospital, she's always the responsible one who makes rational decisions even when others are not capable of it. So to show her just fall apart like that is making me cringe. How hard would it have been to show her emotional and capable of doing her job at the same time?

Yeah, I get your point. I couldn't think of a TV show of the top of my head, so I asked in another community, here are the answers I got so far:
- Samantha Carter on Stargate: SG1 - Captain Kathryn Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager - Samantha Jones on Sex and the City - Bones (she did get goggly eyes while taking care of that baby, but I believe she still doesn't want one of her own) - the main character from The Closer?
I'll be updating the list if and when more people get suggested. :)
Hm I never could get into SG so that's why I don't know Sam. I watched few episodes of Voyager though. Poor Janeway had no time for kids, she had a whole ship to babysit. *smirk* Samantha, yes! She got cancer storyline instead. That's a step forward. Though they already had a token person who wanted a kid on the show, didn't Charlote wanted a kid? No idea what The Closer is. But Booooones. *clings* She'll do. Even though she probably doesn't know what that means. :D

I don't think I even liked myself as a kid. I was such a hyperactive brat! lol
