Um... yeah. Another piece of high school-grade poetry... for Fluff Friday. Don't shoot me.
And since it's already the 12th where I am... Happy birthday, dear Jessica. <3
Also, it's Independence Day today.

Girlfriend
We’re friends… right?
We enjoy being together,
Just sharing laughs, sighs, and tears…
We have lots of fun-
Even in silence.
Though we often have mix-ups
That lead to misunderstandings,
We make compromise after a talk
And in the end, fix the problem.
Then there are these times
When we fantasize about things;
Things we’d often find so girlie and corny.
*(remember our ‘boyfriends’?)*
But just in case that you get too high up…
To take for granted the beauty of simplicity,
Or when you’d feel deep beneath the mud…
And decide to escape or stay there forever,
I’ll be here--
To drag you back to reality…
--You’re SPECIAL…
Not just because of what you are,
Or what you could give;
Not even because I’m being sarcastic…
That we’re just human beings;
Capable of making mistakes,
And the will of mind to rise
Then learn from it…
Oh, and that we’re all entitled to life,
And the responsibility that comes with it.
…I’m so gratified to the Lord,
For letting me be part
*(no matter how little a speck…)*
Of the life of someone who’s special to me,
Someone that is simply put…
YOU.
