I can see myself living in a cottage, can't you?

I'm lazy about house stuff, and for that reason renting suits me. For example, I still haven't fixed the plumbing problem under the sink that I wrote about last week. Basically I have decided that I don't really need cold water in the kitchen all that much, so I don't see the pressing need to fix it right away. I'll attack it when I feel the ( Read more... )

I suspect that the photo makes it look nicer than it does in real life. But you never know. The map made it look like there might be a field on the other side of the road. Which would be very nice.

Yes, temptation is strong :)

Ooooh, gods, is that cute.

And yes, I can totally see you living in a cottage. If not that one, some other one. :-)

As is the picture of the love of my life, up there.

Yeah, totally :) If not a cottage than a yurt or a cobb house. Or a stone house in a valley.

Oh my god! I want it!

Of course I bet the heating bills are astronomical. But oh! It's so beautiful!

Have you read May Sarton's The House by the Sea? That's what I want. And you have a House on a Lawn here but who cares!

You are probably right about the heating bills. I doubt it's well insulated.

I haven't read that book. I'll have to look it up. (Actually, I just looked in Amazon.com but she has written too many books). But yeah, I think we are on the same wavelength. I long for hills, valleys, and forests. But I'd take a nice lawn and a cornfield, with a house that looks like that.
