Chiro treatment

My chiro appointment went very well. Dr. K is super sweet and attentive. Her intake discussion with me was very detailed. She listened carefully to everything I said, and agreed with me that my current problems are probably related to the introduction of the foot orthotics. It helped that she had cards for Foot Solutions on the front desk; ( Read more... )

my chiro kept me going for about a year - they can really help. Also someone who keeps me going in my Foot Doctor...he's in Dublin and like you I too had to get to used to a new style of walking. I will never be pain free but it all does help...hit the showers and feel better

I should probably go to an orthopedist as well, just to get that point of view on the situation. I'll ask my chiropractor if she recommends anyone.

I honestly feel much better already. Yay!

That sounds like a really good chiro appointment -- similar to my own -- I will miss him! Good for you!

I feel fortunate to have someone who is so thorough. Maybe you can find a new chiro in VA.

I'm glad you're having a good experience. I tried going to a chiro once for about two months, but she did nothing for me (and she was recommended by a friend). I'm skeptical of her technique--she used "activator only" technique, as opposed to a hands-on adjustment. I'm also suspicious, possibly irrationally, when a doctor asks you to call her by her first name.

This is my second chiropractor experience. I went to one guy after an auto accident who helped at first, but then I didn't feel like I was improving, so I eventually quit (I did go for over 2 years, though). He seemed to completely ignore the soft tissue, too. No muscle stim or anything. I've needed to find a new chiropractor for years, but that experience held me back.

I understand about the first name thing. Especially right away. I like the professionalism of calling my doc "Dr. So-and-so".

I love the muscle stim. I'm kind of sad that when i go to the chiropractor now, i don't get it anymore :(

It was weird, and unpleasant at first. But I felt much better the next day. And when I got a massage today I wasn't very tender at that spot at all. The stim really seemed to help release the muscle, which is such a relief!
