Barney (in icon) has long hair and I've never really done a close inspection of his bits before, until last night. Barney is definitely not an intact male, and may indeed be a female! I suspect that the former owner claimed that Barney was spraying because he didnt' want the wife and kids letting "him" inside. So far, on the occasions when Barney has gotten in, there has been no marking or spraying behavior. THough if I want to bring him/her inside, I'll have to make a trip to the vet anyway to get him/her wormed and vaccinated.

Now if I can just get used to calling Barney "her". That's gonna take some getting used to!
