My favorite bit, because my cats do this.

Dog: I had to do it. I haven't been fed. Ever.
Me: You realize you aren't normal. Normal dogs don't steal raw sweet potatoes.
Dog, sadly: I was badly brought up.

Dog: By people who starved me.

I've had to put away a box of stone chip beads because he wouldn't stop trying to eat them. If his mouth was big enough to take on a butternut squash, he would totally. Actually, he likes cooked squash more than I do.
