I had my breathe drawn in when I read this. You've got the pacing done right in this chapter. :3 Kyohei's boss + 'why do I have friends like this and why do I BOTHER' exasperation; so lovable. Shizuo's puberty-fueled rage at Izaya, Izaya's youthful over-confidence.. You tweaked their personalities to fit their age and I like it here actually. :)

Interesting how the siblings come into this. Shizuo's protectiveness over Kasuka is the norm, like totally, but Izaya's for Mairu and Kururi? Hmm. I have a feeling that Izaya would just wave it off and explain it as "not wanting to have a 'schoolmate-murdered-sibling' history attached to him and make him stand out" thingy lol.

I feel kinda sad for Shizuo and Izaya - Shizuo for his monster rage that makes him hurt people (unhelpfully powered by teenage hormones, I'm sure) and Izaya for how he must have HATED having to act helpless over his one and obnoxious mistake. Scratch that, I don't really feel very sorry for Izaya at all, as much as I like him. :P Sorry about that Izaya ( ... )
