well I think that is crap because most people have the day off as a holiday so that is clearly not how the rest of your year will be spent. Or those that work, tend to have a varied or different work experience than on typical days due to it being a holiday.

however i do see the New Year as just that - a chance to start anew or make changes to ones

walk, ride a bicycle, carpool, take public transit, have your vehicle checked for proper tire pressure et al., ride a motorcycle or scooter, skateboard. I have even heard on the news in areas that have lots of horses, some people are riding their horses to work. Use your noggin people!
