My mom had a case of hemorrhoids too a few months earlier, but then she got injected with some medication and the swelling had never been a problem anymore since that.
Maybe you should try the injection method first before decides to go on operation? I heard operation for hemorrhoid is never going to be a fun experience... ^^;
