Two songs are taking over my brain, and since I made Zelly hear me whine about my musical brainwashing the other night on AIM, what else to do but blather about it here?

Holy crap, this reminds me of the phase in my life when I was all about the songfics. And now I want to write more. Because, seriously, I don't care what anyone else says- songfics fucking rock.

I've never really written a songfic, but there are some songfics that have influenced me strongly and made me wish I could write a decent one to save my life. If a certain person wished to write a songfic, I wouldn't be opposed. I'd fangirl that person to high heaven. Just sayin'. ^_~

Good songfics really do rock! The bad ones I've encountered are the ones that are ruining it for everybody else. They just need to get off FFN and into a venue where people share intelligent songfics.

I can't believe I'd never heard the Kate Bush version until recently. I was like, what kind of a music fan am I? But I agree, I am so in love with the song. ♥ It makes me wish I could draw so I could draw something to suit it. Instead, I reckon I'll just write.
