What the hell kind of a mission was that?

Who's running this army!?
We were sent from Japan to the goddamned middle-east for glorified guard duty. That's half-way around the planet! To fight off a bunch of fanatics with stone-age hardware!
And then the mission commander just decides he's done with the EDF during a mission!? This is ridiculous!

Just as we were wrapping up the enemy, he just up and left! Gave us some bullshit about knowing what he had to do and left without another word! I can't believe there'd be such an unreliable commander working for the EDF!

Unreliable? ... this is the first time I've ever heard anyone think that way of Major Sanger. I didn't know him well myself, and never went into the field with him, but...

... he was always respectable before. A really intense guy. It just doesn't seem like it adds up.

Well, maybe I'm being overly critical, and the man really could walk on water or whatever it is that has inspired such loyalty amongst the rest of you that you're all freaking out like this. I never met him until that mission. During the mission he seemed...angry, and kinda sullen. Sullen's not quite the right word, but I can't think of what is.

The report barely made any sense. Just exactly what the hell happened out there?

While we were out there, there was a coup d'etat by another religious faction. I suppose they would have blown up the palace we were guarding if we hadn't been there, so I'm not going to say the mission was a failure, but during the fighting some guy from DC named "Tempest" showed up and had an argument with Sanger, then both of them left.

What? Major Sanger knows someone with the DC?

And left... Left as in he went with them, or as in he chased after them?

It sure sounded like Sanger knew the guy.
It looked like he was chasing after them. But when you really think about it, the Grungust is huge and not very fast, especially compared to a light model like the Gaurlions he was chasing. Sanger struck me as being too canny to engage in a chase he couldn't win.
