I wouldn't call it stupid. Maybe you had that much to do, you forgot the simplest facts around your family. My own short term memory do also plays these cards to me - absolut confusing. But there are other times, I know things before they happened - that's almost more confusing! Brain and mind are sometimes a relly funny thing! xD
